Den irländske konstnären Victor Ajayi, född i Nigeria, blandar sömlöst realism med impressionistiska element, vilket framhäver hans passion för konstnärligt berättande.
Från 10 års ålder har Victor varit fascinerad av konstens värld. Genom att sälja sina skapelser professionellt redan vid 16 års ålder påbörjade han en självlärd resa som ledde honom till att specialisera sig på kol- och oljemålning.
Hans konstnärliga uttryck har utvecklats och fördjupats i takt med att han har klivit in i vuxenlivet, vilket speglar en parallell mognad både i hans skapande och berättelser.
Varje enskilt konstverk väver samman en unik berättelse präglad av mystik, melankoli och dragningskraften av eskapism. Även om porträtt, figurer och scener utgör hans huvudsakliga motiv sträcker sig hans kreativitet bortom traditionella gränser. Hans kärlek till fotografi och film påverkar hans konst, där han skapar förtrollande världar som transporterar betraktaren till en annan dimension.
Victors kreativitet drivs främst av cinematografisk inspiration, vilket tydligt syns i hur han leker med reflektioner, ljus och rörelse i varje komposition. Hans verk fångar ögonblick av spänning, likt scener från en pausad film.
Baserad i Stockholm, Sverige, fortsätter Victor att skapa fängslande berättelser och bygger komplexa världar som inbjuder betraktare att utforska och uppleva. Hans konstnärliga resa är ett vittnesmål om hans hängivenhet att pressa gränserna för visuellt berättande.

Our Story
TOMAS OCH MIMMI HAMMAR
Gallery Hammar was founded in 2023 by the artist couple Tomas and Mimmi Hammar, who had long shared a dream of owning their own gallery where they could exhibit their art together.
The idea of establishing an art gallery in Vasastan was born as early as 2017 when Tomas was at the beginning of his artistic journey. After the impact of the pandemic, the goal became even clearer. In May 2023, Gallery Hammar opened its doors at Rörstrandsgatan 28 and currently represents around 20 artists and sculptors.
At Gallery Hammar, we offer a wide variety of Scandinavian art from both established artists and new talents whose works touch, challenge, and inspire. Our vision is to promote an innovative, inclusive, unconventional, and accessible space for both artists and customers. We constantly strive to provide a unique, modern, and relaxed environment where exciting encounters, interesting conversations, and lasting relationships contribute to a sense of community for all visitors.
Before embarking on their artistic careers, Tomas and Mimmi pursued different paths—Tomas dedicated over 20 years to photography and TV production, while Mimmi worked in HR for almost 10 years. Their diverse backgrounds have been of great benefit in the joint professional journey they have undertaken, often reflected in their roles as both artists and gallery owners.
