Lennart Olausson föddes i Stockholm 1944 och är en av Sveriges mest framstående konstnärer, med en lång rad prestigefyllda uppdrag och utställningar på sin meritlista sedan början av sin konstnärliga karriär på 1960-talet.
Han är representerad på bland annat Nationalmuseum - Sveriges främsta museum för konst och design, samt Moderna Museet i Stockholm och Statens konstråd i Sverige, och har genom åren mottagit ett flertal utmärkelser och stipendier. Han har även blivit publicerad i böcker och tidskrifter och har skapat ett antal offentliga konstinstallationer.

Lennart Olausson was born in Stockholm in 1944 and is one of Sweden's most prominent artists, with a long list of prestigious commissions and exhibitions on his track record since the beginning of his artistic career in the 1960s. He has been represented at, among others, the National Museum - Sweden's foremost museum for art and design, as well as the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and the Swedish Art Council, and has received numerous awards and scholarships over the years. He has also been published in books and magazines and has created a number of public art installations.>

Our Story
TOMAS OCH MIMMI HAMMAR
Gallery Hammar was founded in 2023 by the artist couple Tomas and Mimmi Hammar, who had long shared a dream of owning their own gallery where they could exhibit their art together.
The idea of establishing an art gallery in Vasastan was born as early as 2017 when Tomas was at the beginning of his artistic journey. After the impact of the pandemic, the goal became even clearer. In May 2023, Gallery Hammar opened its doors at Rörstrandsgatan 28 and currently represents around 20 artists and sculptors.
At Gallery Hammar, we offer a wide variety of Scandinavian art from both established artists and new talents whose works touch, challenge, and inspire. Our vision is to promote an innovative, inclusive, unconventional, and accessible space for both artists and customers. We constantly strive to provide a unique, modern, and relaxed environment where exciting encounters, interesting conversations, and lasting relationships contribute to a sense of community for all visitors.
Before embarking on their artistic careers, Tomas and Mimmi pursued different paths—Tomas dedicated over 20 years to photography and TV production, while Mimmi worked in HR for almost 10 years. Their diverse backgrounds have been of great benefit in the joint professional journey they have undertaken, often reflected in their roles as both artists and gallery owners.
