Sessile Oak (wall sculpture) - Black Annealed Iron Wire

Select size (height):
Sale price3 000 kr

Matilda Bengtsson, born in 1985, grew up in Linköping but is now active with her craft in Stockholm. She mainly works with metal wire and draws her inspiration from nature. Hundreds, sometimes thousands of meters of wire are twisted, shaped and sculpted into various vivid natural motifs.

Matilda's main signature is trees, twisted by hand and all with their own unique character. The size varies from 3 cm and upwards of 80 cm in height. The oak - grandfather's oak - is in the center, but other trees also appear in the creation.

The material varies, but mainly the black iron wire is used. With its stark, true-to-life shade, it creates a sharp, but at the same time vivid contrast in our mostly bright Nordic homes.
